STYLE Edit: K11 Musea lights up a new artisanal festive pop-up beside Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour

Since its grand opening in 2019, K11 Musea at Hong Kong’s Victoria Dockside has been known for its contemporary art exhibits, as well as the numerous flagship stores and award-winning restaurants housed at its harbourfront location.
This season, K11 Musea launches a variety of happenings sure to appeal to the art lover, shopaholic and everyone in-between, combining traditional European festive touches with surreal decorative elements. A festive and decorative Christmas pop-up is the centrepiece, along with an immersive light show and a range of exclusive gift sets for some extra special Christmas shopping.
A festive Christmas pop-up

The sixth floor of the K11 Art & Cultural Centre will offer indoor and outdoor Christmas experiences with a twist, picking up on the cross-cultural festive feel. Journey through this winterscape twinkling with fairy lights to discover numerous talented, Hong Kong-based artisans offering gourmet and handcrafted delights: notably, artisanal cheeses from Victor & Hugo Gourmet, jam and wine from Maison Argaud and the finest spirits from The Whisky Library. Other festive pop-ups are presented by Rosewood Hong Kong and the MoMA Design Store, and there’s an exclusive gourmet festive menu on offer from Royal Truck.
Ideal for an Instagram moment, the Christmas pop-up also features surreal seasonal elements like an oversized nutcracker, a huge clock tower and giant Christmas ornaments.
Globoscope at the Bohemian Garden

If you’re planning a romantic winter proposal or want something sublime to share with family and friends, the Globoscope at the Bohemian Garden might be just the thing. A first in Asia, this immersive sensory light showcase debuted in Lyon in 2014 and has been recreated specifically for K11 Musea.
Each individual light is uniquely positioned and connected with choreographed movements. The showcase will be open to the public in the evenings from now until January 3, 2021, upon online reservation and on a first-come, first-served basis.

If your first priority at the cultural-retail destination is to make a beeline for the shops, you’ll be pleased to hear that Christmas shopping at K11 Musea will be a very special experience, with exclusive items for sale at the Artisan Lounge and from luxury brands like Alexander McQueen and others.

By our favourite avant-garde designer, the Alexander McQueen Jewelled Four Ring Flat Pouch (US$2,590, HK$20,100) is one such K11 Musea exclusive, featuring black quilted nappa leather and gold-finished rings adorned with Swarovski crystals.
