Where paradise meets wellness: Kagi Maldives Spa Island – complete with bars and restaurants for the not so virtuous

The Baani Spa will feature a teardrop-shaped floating yoga pavilion, four treatment rooms with outdoor bathing, a relaxation lounge, beauty salon, yoga and sound-healing studio and steam rooms
If anywhere on Earth is going to get you feeling like the best version of yourself, The Maldives is likely to be it – and the paradise now has its first wellness-focused resort, in the shape of Kagi Maldives Spa Island. Set to open in September 2020 and situated in the North Malé Atoll, the resort takes full advantage of its location, and boasts a 16,000-square-foot Baani Spa on the edge of the island’s lagoon.

The spa will feature a teardrop-shaped floating yoga pavilion, four treatment rooms with outdoor bathing facilities, a relaxation lounge, beauty salon, yoga and sound-healing studio and steam rooms. It will offer the usual range of beauty and massage treatments alongside alternative therapies and health and nutrition coaching. Designed by Japanese-American architect Yuji Yamazaki, the resort also features two restaurants and, should all that virtuousness get too much, three bars.
