The new resort’s Hollywood theme is not limited to its opulent art-deco façade, which includes the Golden Reel Ferris wheel – the highest in Asia – straddling two hotel towers 130 metres above the ground. The integrated resort has injected a cinematic vibe into all its attractions and experiences, with resplendent touches reminiscent of the golden age of cinema across its retail, dining and leisure attractions.

These blockbuster offerings include the Studio City Event Center, a 5,000-seat multipurpose entertainment arena that will host concerts, live shows and sporting events. Madonna is booked to perform there in February.  There’s also Studio 8, a 300-seat TV studio for shooting reality programmes and game shows.

Among the entertainment experiences generating great excitement is Batman Dark Flight, a 4D simulation ride that makes you feel like you’re the Dark Knight flying across Gotham City battling his arch villains.

In addition, The House of Magic, presented by famed illusionist Franz Harary, features the world’s top magicians in daily performances. And the Warner Bros Fun Zone delivers interactive activities for children featuring the studio’s most famous Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters, from Bugs Bunny to Tom and Jerry.

For more sophisticated amusements nightlife fun can be found at Pacha Macau, which hosts the world’s top DJs and party names hailing from everyplace from Ibiza to New York.

Holidaymakers will have 1,600 rooms to choose from among Studio City’s two towers. Guests can choose from the all-suite Star Tower, which offers the ultimate in lavish facilities and service, or the Celebrity Tower, a deluxe hotel perfect for larger parties and groups, with its access to all of the entertainment facilities.

For conferences and meetings, Studio City has over 4,000 square metres of indoor event space with flexible and scalable configurations, allowing event planners to host anything from a large-scale banquet to an international conference, with everything customisable to the theme of their choice.

Of course, you can also shop ‘til you drop at the resort. The Boulevard, a 35,000-square-metre immersive retail streetscape, emulates New York’s Times Square and California’s Beverly Hills. Dress like an A-lister with a choice of fashion-forward boutiques and iconic luxury brands. Exclusive to Studio City is Macau’s first Balmain retail boutique and Belstaff shop, plus Tom Ford’s largest store in the Asia-Pacific.

Studio City also tempts your appetite with over 30 food and beverage outlets. From world-class fine-dining options to relaxed bars and lounges, there is something for every taste. Cuisines range from authentic traditional Cantonese, Shanghainese, northern Chinese and Southeast Asian fare to Japanese delicacies and all manners of Western delights.

Signature eateries include Michelin-starred chef Tam Kwok Fung’s Pearl Dragon, as well as Shanghai Magic which is inspired by The House of Magic attraction. There’s also an outlet of the popular dim sum chain Din Tai Fung, and from New York comes the Italian restaurant Trattoria Il Mulino. Still to come are restaurants from Hawaiian celebrity chef Alan Wong and Michelin stalwart Alain Ducasse, which are scheduled to open later next year.

Along The Boulevard, you will find Paris pâtissier and macaron maestro Pierre Hermé’s first boutique in Macau. For fun and casual grub, the Cosmos Food Station lets visitors explore a space station-themed dining experience that includes holographic projections to create an out-of-this-world setting. And the Macau Gourmet Walk lets guests sample a variety of authentic Macanese treats without leaving the complex.
