Get into the Christmas spirit with K11 Musea
The harbourside shopping mall celebrates the holiday with an opulent Christmas tree, a market featuring artisanal brands and more

As temperatures dip, an air of festivity descends on Hong Kong as the city goes to great lengths to remind people why this is the most wonderful time of the year. Buildings lining both sides of Victoria Harbour get special lighting displays for the season, making the famous skyline even more spectacular than usual, while shopping centres across town draw crowds with lavish Christmas installations and a packed programme of events.
K11 Musea, known for its art installations that promote creativity and culture, raises the bar this year for holiday cheer with its Seven Festive Wonders celebration. Visitors can expect an array of festive delights, including Christmas markets and a range of festive offerings courtesy of fashion powerhouse Dior.
Christmas trees are the centrepiece of every Hong Kong shopping centre’s holiday celebrations. Among the most impressive this year is K11 Musea’s 12-metre-tall (39-foot) tree and an accompanying fairy tale-inspired carriage installation by Dior, which form part of the Dior Ball of Dreams festivities that run until January 2.

Inspired by the Palace of Versailles on the outskirts of Paris, the Dior Ball of Dreams also transforms K11 Musea’s grand atrium, known as the Opera Theatre, into Louis XIV’s opulent royal court – the perfect backdrop for a photo that captures the holiday spirit with an added touch of luxury.
Visitors can also check out the French fashion house’s pop-up beauty boutique on the ground floor, where they can shop for exclusive holiday gifts such as the limited-edition Le 30 Montaigne Advent Calendar with a collection of Dior fragrances, beauty and skincare products.
To round out the label’s seasonal offerings, the Artisan Lounge will also be turned into Café Dior, which will serve festive cocktails and an exclusive high tea inspired by the brand’s famous fragrances.
Another highlight of K11 Musea’s Christmas celebrations is the return of its annual Christmas Village pop-up. Running until January 1 at one of the shopping centre’s rooftop gardens on the sixth floor, the Christmas Village celebrates creativity and artistry with more than 50 curated booths offering holiday-themed artisanal crafts and gourmet treats from local and international brands.

Among the many dynamic products are the gender-neutral fragrances by Hong Kong label Iśsmen; liqueurs inspired by traditional herbal remedies and modern mixology concepts from Magnolia Lab; and handmade Christmas ornaments, plush toys and home decor products curated by Etcetera.

Also not to be missed is the Jellycat Christmas Market at Snaplife. The shop’s display of plush toys from the premium British brand takes on a Christmas theme, with items such as the Amuseable Nordic Spruce Christmas Tree, Bobble Avocado, Gingerbread House and ornaments featuring popular characters like Bashful Bunny taking over the shelves.
Over December, K11 Musea also ran two exhibitions at Kunsthalle to cater to visitors with different interests. “Grade 10 Hong Kong – The Winter Show” featured limited-edition and exclusive collectible trading cards from about 80 exhibitors, and the launch of Disney’s Baby Oysters scented trading cards.
Meanwhile, more than 100 renowned brands gathered for Hong Kong’s largest designer art toy exhibition, the “Amazing Toy Show”. The showcase included cutting-edge toys, pop culture products and rare collectibles from across Asia, and featured appearances by iconic characters such as Lulu the Piggy.
Visitors can also find gift inspirations at K11 Musea’s new openings, as well as exclusive holiday offers. These include Saint Laurent’s first and largest duplex flagship store in Hong Kong, the revamped Milanese apartment-inspired Versace outlet and luxury jewellery label Qeelin’s new boutique.

Those who are in the mood for festive treats can head to Fortnum & Mason for its selection of Christmas hampers and holiday-themed food and drinks, while families can sign up for Legoland Discovery Centre Hong Kong’s Holiday Bricktacular event, which is perfect for Lego fans of all ages.
And, with the Muses of Christmas spending rewards programme, visitors can also earn e-vouchers upon spending HK$3,000 or more at K11 Musea. There is no better place to soak up the festive spirit.
