Video: Moment lightning strikes moving Japanese passenger train

This is the dramatic moment a bolt of lightning struck a moving Japanese passenger train, sending a shower of sparks into the air.

The strike was caught on camera by a man filming a storm from a Tokyo apartment block.

After a few flashes and a clap of thunder the Odakyu Electric Railway train can be seen rolling onto a bridge, before the bolt strikes causing a bright explosion.

The train ground to a halt and passengers were left in darkness after the hit, but amazingly no one inside was hurt, local media reported.
