Gable Tostee has agreed to give an exclusive interview to the 60 Minutes TV programme, reportedly for a six-figure sum.
Last month Tostee was found not guilty of murder or manslaughter in the 2014 death of Warriena Wright, who fell from the balcony of his 14th floor Gold Coast apartment.
Tostee will now reveal his account to Channel Nine’s 60 Minutes, reportedly in return for an undisclosed six-figure sum, according to Saturday’s Daily Telegraph.
A spokeswoman for Nine would not discuss any financial arrangement, but confirmed to Guardian Australia the show has secured an interview with Tostee. The interview will reportedly air on 13 November.

The paper reported Nine had beaten rival station Seven in a bidding war for the 30-year-old’s exclusive interview. Tostee and 26-year-old Wright, who was on holiday from New Zealand, had been on a date but the night deteriorated into verbal and physical altercations after they returned to his flat. Tostee had locked out Wright on the balcony, and she later fell.
The key piece of evidence in the trial was a 199-minute recording, made by Tostee unbeknownst to Wright, on his mobile phone. The audio recording captured the pair’s escalating arguments and disputes, and the moment of Wright’s death.
Prosecutors alleged he had left her in such a state of fear that she felt compelled to escape, falling to her death while trying to reach another balcony. Tostee’s defence lawyers argued that he had used reasonable force to subdue the “increasingly erratic” Wright. The jury found him not guilty after four days of deliberation.
