An elderly woman was knocked off her feet on Tuesday, after security guards raced to grab a protester who flung an egg at the Australian prime minister during an election rally in New South Wales.
The egg appeared to strike Prime Minister Scott Morrison on the back of the head then bounce off without breaking as he spoke to voters at a hall in the regional town of Albury ahead of the nation’s general election next week.
Margaret Baxter, who had recently undergone an operation, was knocked to the ground as guards grabbed the alleged offender and dragged her outside.
