A New Zealand man has pleaded guilty to a racially motivated road rage attack on an ethnic Chinese family in which two children were violently thrown from their car.
Fraser Milne, 21, admitted in court on Friday to ramming the car of a Chinese-New Zealand family as they were enjoying a day out on the Awhitu Peninsula near Auckland, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and flip in the air, reported the New Zealand Herald.
Appearing at the High Court in Auckland, Milne pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and four charges of injuring with reckless disregard for safety, the newspaper reported.
Milne began chasing the family at speed after he was forced to swerve to avoid colliding with the family’s car, according to court documents seen by the New Zealand Herald.
After forcing the car to pull over, Milne told the family that he was a gang member and would kill them, and threatened to have them eaten by his blue-nosed pit bull dog.
He then drove to some nearby shops where he complained to locals about Asians “taking over the country” and that “f**king Asians” had damaged his car, according to court documents.
