Japan holds joint drills with India, US in show of force to China, Russia

  • Japan’s week-long maritime exercises with India began on Sunday in the Bay of Bengal, and come after their ‘two-plus-two’ security talks last week
  • Separate joint drills involving the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force and more than a dozen US warplanes were held on Friday over the Sea of Japan
