Lee was found inside a vehicle parked on the street in Seoul’s mid-northern Seongbuk district, an official from the Seongbuk police station said.

“We believe his body has now been transferred to the Seoul National University Hospital,” he added.

Lee had been under police investigation over his alleged use of marijuana and other psychoactive drugs amid an ongoing government crackdown on illegal narcotics.

Authorities found Lee in a search triggered by a report that he was missing, a fire official said on condition of anonymity, as the matter is a sensitive one.
