Glasses worn by India’s Mahatma Gandhi sell for US$340,000 in UK auction

  • The Indian independence hero gave the pair of glasses to a man in South Africa in the 1920s or 30s, East Bristol Auctions said
  • The sale price smashed the original estimate of around £15,000 (US$19,600)
