A pedestrian bridge across Highway 334 in Ang Thong in central Thailand collapsed after it was hit by a truck carrying a load that was too big to pass under the bridge, on Tuesday.

A backhoe (a piece of equipment used for digging and excavation at construction sites) loaded on a long 22-wheel truck struck the pedestrian bridge as the truck passed underneath.
