Australia and Indonesia sign long-awaited trade deal in ‘new chapter of cooperation’

  • The agreement will provide better access for Australian farmers, universities, health providers and miners to Indonesia’s 260 million people, and increase work visas for young Indonesians
  • It had been in negotiations since 2010 but stalled when Prime Minister Scott Morrison initially proposed the relocation of Australia’s embassy to Jerusalem
