A high-school teacher in Harbin, Heilongjiang province has been suspended after she was recorded yelling at students for failing to buy her presents for Teachers' Day.

According to the education department of Yilan country, teacher Feng Qunchao was suspended indefinitely after students in her 11th grade class said she called them a "bunch of bums" and hurled other insults at them for not getting her a present on the holiday, which occurs in China on September 10.

"How can I face the other teachers?" Feng was heard telling her students on a recording made by one of them and later submitted to authorities. "They all received presents from their students but me. How embarrassed I am!"
