Teen invents cheap 3D printer; ‘drunks’ in police car that sped from scene

A 17-year-old boy from Chongqing has built his own 3D printer for 1,000 yuan (HK$1,250), the Chongqing Morning Post reports. The teenager started work on the project after he finished his exams this summer and it took him a month. His mother said he always had an interest in machinery and had taken equipment apart including copiers and computers since he was a child.

Spent neighbour’s cash

A man has been arrested for allegedly racking up debts of 68,0000 yuan on a neighbour’s credit card for over a year without him knowing, the Chongqing Business Times reports. The owner only found out when the credit card company told him how much money he owed. After a police investigation, the culprit turned out to be a neighbour who lived above his apartment.
