Chongqing official fired following sex scandal

Communist Party officials in Chongqing confirmed district official Lei Zhengfu was the man in recent sex photos and videos leaked online, the People’s Daily reported on Friday.

Lei was removed from his former post as party secretary of Beibei district in Chongqing on Friday, the report said.

Party officials said a formal investigation would be launched immediately.

This comes just days after journalist Ji Xuguang posted a photo on his Sina Weibo microblogging service showing a naked man and woman having sex. Ji said the photo was a screen shot of a video. He claimed the man in the photo was Lei and he was having “improper sexual relations” with a girl friend surnamed, Zhao.
