Boss outsources daughter's homework to employees

The employees in an undisclosed provincial government department spent three days on the assignment in the girl's hometown, and claimed expenses.

One of the employees, known only as Mr Chen, blew the whistle on the scam, claiming staff with a variety of skills helped out with the project.

Chen, a professional photographer, was told he had to submit pictures for the assignment that looked like they'd been taken by a 12-year-old. He claimed his boss told him that if the photos were too good he would 'blame me' for the failure of the project.

The school set pupils the task of producing either a drawing, an essay, a video or photographs detailing how their parents' home towns had changed over the years.

Chen told the Qianjiang Evening News: "We stayed up late for two nights. The girl was quite demanding. She only needed to do one of the four options, but she insisted on doing them all, without actually getting involved herself in any way."
