Incredible video footage has emerged of death-defying rooftoppers scaling a crane next to Beijing’s tallest skyscraper.

Joseph Lulu and a friend named only as Claire made the terrifying climb at the World Trade Centre’s third tower in the Chinese capital last week.

They appear to have entered the building complex – which consists of 14 components including a hotel, offices and flats – late in the evening before beginning their ascent to the top of a crane next to the 330-metre building as the sun rose.

In a stunning video, the intrepid pair can be seen delicately walking across scaffolding and the crane’s support beams without harnesses or climbing ropes.

Lulu then makes the final climb alone to the top of the crane and films himself with a selfie stick, providing breathtaking views of Beijing.
