Police in eastern China have detained a fugitive wanted over the deaths of three people and the wounding of at least six others at a kindergarten in Jiangxi province on Wednesday.
The suspect was caught in Wanan county about 130km (80 miles) from the crime scene late on Wednesday night after authorities offered a 100,000 yuan (US$14,790) for information, Anfu county police said in an online post.
Anfu police said on Wednesday that a 48-year-old county resident, Liu Xiaohui, stormed the private kindergarten that morning before fleeing.
The police did not offer details about the victims or how the suspect attacked them.

An unconfirmed viral video showed police officers carrying children to an ambulance parked near the kindergarten on Wednesday morning.
Online news outlet Red Star News quoted a staff member at Anfu People’s Hospital as saying that about 10 children had been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
