Emergency workers resumed their search on Sunday for more than two dozen villagers missing following a landslide in southwestern China.
The landslide occurred in the village of Jinping in Sichuan province at around 11.50am on Saturday, burying 10 houses and killing at least one person, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
Two people were pulled from the debris alive and sent to hospital on Saturday, and 28 remained missing on Sunday.
Hundreds of emergency personnel along with search-and-rescue dogs, vehicles, and drones were sent to scour the site.
As they resumed their search on Sunday morning in fog and drizzle, rocks continued to roll down the mountainside and the ground continued to shift, officials said.

Vice-Premier Liu Guozhong visited the injured at a Junlian county hospital on Sunday morning.
He urged rescuers to minimise casualties and to release updates in a “timely and accurate manner”.
Liu also stressed that there was a risk of further landslides, and that the recovery teams must use science to guide rescue efforts and analysis of the landslide’s cause.
Preliminary analysis indicates that persistent rainfall and the area’s terrain resulted in a build-up of debris, creating a landslide body that was 10-20 metres thick and around 100 metres (328 feet) wide.
In the past 10 days, the area has had more than 40mm (1.57 inches) of rainfall, with more than 20mm falling in the past three days, according to CCTV.
The Ministry of Emergency Management sent rescue teams to the site, and along with the Finance Ministry, earmarked 30 million yuan (US$4 million) in central government funding for natural disaster relief.

In all, 360 residents have been evacuated from the site, with many relocated to a nearby middle school.
“There are still people who are unwilling to come down and have remained on the mountain,” a volunteer at a relocation site told Shanghai-based news site The Paper.
Caixin Media quoted some villagers as saying the landslide could be linked to the resumption of coal mining at a site a few hundred metres from the landslide area.
Production stopped during the Covid-19 pandemic and restarted last year, with some small collapses sending rocks down onto roads and blocking traffic, according to the report.
Sichuan is one of the regions in China that is particularly prone to natural disasters, including floods, earthquakes, and mudslides.
