A bus blast that killed nine Chinese nationals in Pakistan shows the inadequacy of Chinese firms’ security, according to analysts.
They also said Beijing should offer equipment and training to its neighbour to try to better protect China’s citizens.
The explosion erupted on July 14 as the bus was taking around 40 people, including Chinese engineers, surveyors and mechanical engineers, to a hydropower dam construction site in Dasu, 350km (215 miles) from Islamabad. The project is part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

In all, 13 people were killed and dozens were wounded in the blast.
After traces of explosives were apparently found on the bus, Pakistan said it would not rule out a terrorist attack as the cause of the incident.
