4:11pm: The Hang Seng Index closed at 23,474.97, down 1.43 per cent or 339.68 points. The H-shares index finished at 10,770.05, down 1.75 per cent or 192.19 points.

3:11pm: The Shanghai Composite Index fell away steeply at the end to close on 3,748.16, down 6.15 per cent or 245.51 points. The CSI300 dropped to 3,825.41, down 6.19 per cent or 252.46 points.
3:11pm: The Shenzhen Composite closed on 2,174.42, down 6.58 per cent or 153.07 points. The ChiNext went to 2,504.17, down 6.08 per cent or 162.12 points.
