Beijing’s objection to Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen passing through the United States en route to Latin America in January had not delayed planning for the trip and transit locations would be announced in days, the presidential office said on Tuesday.

Tsai’s office said she would visit Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador in that order, and would depart from Taiwan on January 7 and return on January 15.
