A middle-aged woman riding as an illegal passenger on an electric bike in China’s Zhejiang province allegedly attacked a police officer when he stopped the vehicle at a crossroads, the newspaper Xiandai Jinbao reports.

When the officer approached the vehicle in Wenzhou city on Friday, the woman hopped off and tried to flee.

He tried to stop her but she resisted and slapped his face repeatedly, bit his arm and unbuttoned her shirt, screaming she had been molested.

She was detained on suspicion of obstructing the duties of a police officer and an investigation was under way.
