A Chinese woman has reported her former husband, a retired city official, to the graft-busters for keeping several mistresses and even having a son with one of them. The Shenzhen woman, surnamed Chen, had submitted a report exposing her ex-husband in January. The local discipline inspection commission recently confirmed they were probing the man, surnamed Ye, China News Service reported. Chen said Ye kept at least three mistresses, which caused their marriage to break down. The couple married in 1981, divorced in 1997, remarried soon after and filed for divorce again last year. Their only son is 31 years old. Chen said Ye, who retired in June, grew corrupt after being promoted to deputy chief of a Shenzhen municipal government department and took charge of fiscal budget and public communications. In 2003, Chen discovered that Ye had a son with another woman, and over the next several years, they repeatedly quarrelled over the mistress. Chen also made two police reports after the mistress created a scene in public. She decided to expose Ye after finding out that he in fact had more than one mistress. She said Ye also violated other party rules including taking bribes.
