Three injured after crash turns truck carrying alcohol into fireball in northern China

Three people were injured after a truck crashed into the back of another carrying alcoholic drinks in northern China and the vehicles burst into flames.

The accident happened at about 4.50 pm on Monday on an expressway in Zhengzhou, Henan province's traffic radio station said on its social media account.

A large truck hit the back of two other vehicles, according to the report.

Two trucks were shown in photographs engulfed in flames and glass bottles could be heard exploding while the fire burned, the report said.

The injured were taken to hospital, but no details were given of their condition.

The blaze was brought under control by firefighters about an hour after it had broken out.
