Doctors in southwestern China have performed surgery on a 27-year-old man to remove a 5kg stool from his colon after he complained of severe stomachache for more than a decade, the West China Metropolis Daily reported. Doctors in at Chengdu’s No2 hospital, in Sichuan province, discovered in an X-ray that the man’s heart had shifted to the right as his colon distended to twice its normal size. His condition was diagnosed as “congenital megacolon”. The man said he often felt pain in his stomach and had constipation over the past decade. But the doctors didn’t find the real cause of his problems until now.
