Police shoot man dead in China who went on deadly rampage in heavy construction vehicle

Heavily armed police gunned down a man in northern China yesterday who went on a rampage in a front end loader, killing a pedestrian, injuring police and wrecking vehicles, according to internet users and an allegedly leaked police document.
At about 9.30am, police in Shuozhou, Shanxi province, about 350km west of Beijing, received reports of a man driving the large construction vehicle recklessly through the city.
Three policemen were wounded while six vehicles, five of them police cars, were destroyed in the incident in Shanxi province, according to an internal police notice leaked online.
Witnesses said the driver drove in an erratic manor, hitting other vehicles along a road near the city government building and on other roads nearby.
