An online video featuring a little boy driving a car on a highway in China has caused an uproar among the online community.

In the two-minute video, a boy who apears no older than four or five years old sits in the driver’s seat, holding the steering wheel, while his father sits in the back seat while coaches him to drive on a busy highway in Hunan province, the Yueyang Daily reported.

“Turn to this side. Quick, quick…” the father says. “Watch out. There are two motorcycles… one more coming. You’d better move out of the ways. … Good, good.”

It all looks like a serious on-road driving lesson between father and son. Another person seated next to the boy  records the whole process with a video camera.

After watching the video, many internet users said they were appalled by the father’s irresponsible actions, although a few said they were impressed by the little boy’s driving skills.

The newspaper quoted a local lawyer as saying it was a serious offence to allow children to drive.
