More than he can bear: TV reporter in China pulls over Lamborghini with giant teddy strapped to its roof

A green Lamborghini has become the talk of the town in southwest China after it was stopped for driving with a giant teddy bear strapped to the roof on Tuesday morning.
It was not police who pulled over the young driver, but Tan Qiao, a reporter with the publicity department of the traffic management bureau in Chengdu, Sichuan province, who hosts an educational programme in which he interviews traffic violators after they are caught.
Tan told the Sichuan news portal Newssc.org that he saw the car near the Chengdu Sports Stadium and was “only performing his duty” when he intervened.
Although the car was not travelling fast, Tan still stopped it and admonished the driver.
“The stuffed bear blocked the rear window and made it impossible for the driver to observe the back of the car. It could have also caused an accident if it slipped of the car,” Tan said.
The driver said the bear was a gift for his girlfriend.
