The woman in her fifties bought 13.3 kg of the precious metal in Jilin province from a gold store, the Xinwenhua newspaper reported.

The province received 90 kg of the specially produced bars, 10 kg more than last year, and they were sold for 267 yuan per gram on Sunday, the lowest price since 2010, according to the article.

All the bars sold out within a day, the report said.

The unnamed woman was said to have “strategically planned the big investment” seven years in a row, according to the newspaper.
