‘Wu Haonan was here’: graffiti found scratched on passenger windows of Chinese airliner

Photographs of graffiti scratched on the passenger windows of an airliner have been widely shared on the internet in China, according to a newspaper article, the latest in a series of media reports about some Chinese tourists behaving badly on planes or during their holidays.

The markings written in Chinese, English and Russian were discovered on a Shanghai Airlines plane after it had flown from China’s commercial capital to Shenyang last month, the Shanghai Morning Post reported.

One of the markings said, “Wu Haonan, I was here.”

It is not clear if all the graffiti was written by Chinese passengers, the report said.

The aircraft had also flown Russian passengers and some of the graffiti referred to the Winter Olympics in Sochi last year, according to the article.

The photographs were posted online by a pilot on the aircraft, who did not give their real name.
