A fresh graduate in Southern China had become a leading online “agony aunt” hearing complaints and offering solutions to love troubles, despite having never been in a relationship herself, the Southern Metropolis News reports.

Liu Ping, her pseudonym, with her curly long hair and black framed glasses looks the typical college girl. But she has become the leading “romance consultant” for a dating phone app, which the report did not name, where she dispenses heartfelt advice to more than 500 followers.

At first glance, Liu may not seem eminently qualified for the job - her one and only brush with cupid was a crush on a classmate in the 7th grade, someone who was “somewhat less childish than other boys”.

Liu did nothing, thinking like so many Chinese students that “school comes first”.

Liu only decided to be candid about her feelings last year, when she heard of him again. She wrote him a love letter, more than a thousand words long - but got no reply.

Disappointed by the unsuccessful attempt at first, Liu decided to make it a life lesson and turned first to learning about love, then writing about it, to build a successful following online she found her calling an active love writer online with some popularity. However, she still had not been in a real relationship.
