Former sex workers at the historic Hotel Lisboa in Macau say they were “interviewed” by a nephew of casino kingpin Stanley Ho Hung-sun before being allowed onto the premises, a court in the former Portuguese enclave has heard.
Thirty women who use to work as prostitutes at the hotel were giving evidence at the trial of Alan Ho who is facing charges that he headed a vice racket that sexually exploited women as an executive director of the 46-year-old establishment.

Ho, 69, was arrested in January last year and faces 90 charges of sexual exploitation and is accused of founding and leading a criminal organisation. Five other peole were also arrested and are facing similar charges.
On Friday, the Court of First Instance in Macau heard testimonies from 30 former sex workers at the hotel who said Ho interviewed and selected dozens of women to work as prostitutes on the premises, Radio Macau reported.

Many of the women said they were interviewed by Ho and hotel managers, including another defendant, Qiao Yan Yan, a deputy manager of the Lisboa.
