China Women Volley Team coach and Olympic Games medallist Lang Ping married Wang Yucheng, a professor of religious studies, in Beijing yesterday. The athlete, also known as Jenny Lang, rose to fame after leading the national team to victory at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. She later moved on to coaching the US team, which defeated China at the 2008 Games in Beijing. Land divorced in 1995 but became aquainted with Wang Yucheng, a professor in religious studies with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in recent years, Xinhua reported. Her wedding was joint by many former sports chiefs as well as her daughter with her former husband.
