The trafficking case involved the authorities in Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan, the report said.
Twenty suspects were arrested and three drug-making factories discovered, producing about 630kg of narcotics. About 600kg of raw materials to make drugs was found.
The report did not give details of the information the man gave the police.
The investigation began when a courier company in Foshan received a package on December 29 last year with a request for it to be sent to Malaysia.
