A seven-year-old primary school student in Shanghai used his father’s mobile phone to buy 20 tickets for Shanghai Disneyland for everyone in his class without telling him, mainland media reports.

The unnamed boy’s father, who is a businessman, said his son made the online booking without his knowledge and he was shocked to receive a bill for nearly 10,000 yuan (HK$12,000), the Beijing Morning News reported on Friday.

However, he said he would pay the bill and fully supported his son’s actions.

“[We are] very happy to see the boy learning to share with others,” the father, who posted the ticket receipt on social media, was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
