Devastating storms have smashed windows in many university classrooms in southwest China, creating chaos but also opportunities for young men to appear chivalrous towards the women in the class, local media reports.

At the height of rainy season in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, downpours and gales sweeping across the region have not only shattered window panes but in some cases blown entire window frames into packed classrooms, the local Metropolis Times reports.
