A navy fighter jet has crashed into a factory building in eastern China.
The accident happened on Wednesday evening in Taizhou in Zhejiang province, The Beijing News reported.


A navy spokesperson, Liang Yang, said in a statement that the jet, belonging to the East Sea Fleet, crashed into a sewing machine factory while conducting a night training session at about 7.30pm.
The pilot ejected from the aircraft safely and nobody was injured in the incident, according to Liang.

The navy is investigating the cause of the crash.
Photographs and videos of the fire soon went viral online in China.

The fire caused a huge traffic jam and many people stepped out of their cars to take photographs.
Another fighter aircraft also crashed in Taizhou in December. Both pilots ejected safely.
