Shanghai authorities have published an etiquette guide for visitors to Shanghai Disneyland, which opens on June 16, according to a newspaper report.

The advisory urges visitors to drop litter into trash cans, not to deface public facilities, take care of plants and trees, not to lie down on the greens, stand in a queue and maintain decorum, Jiefang Daily reports.

The guide, jointly published by the city’s civilisation office and tourism bureau over the weekend, aims to prevent bad behaviour by the visitors that came to light during the “soft opening” of Shanghai Disneyland earlier this month, according to a statement by the municipal government on its official website.

Visitors’ bad behaviours have been a major concern for the authorities after photographs of revellers
