Foreign woman’s acrobatic moves in a subway train catch commuters in northern China by surprise
Tianjin Subway authorities express safety concerns about impromptu performance
A foreign woman’s sudden acrobatic moves in a night train in northern China amused subway commuters, but raised authorities’ safety concerns, local media reports.
Photographs of the blonde woman in her 20s and dressed in a gym shirt performing cartwheels and flipping upside down in a subway train in Tianjin on Thursday night have gone viral on the mainland’s social media, news portal tianjinwe.com reported.
An eyewitness said that the woman boarded the train at around 10pm and began to perform pole dance, much to the amusement of the commuters. Her performance lasted for about half an hour as she alighted after eight stops.
Tianjin Subway authorities were unimpressed by the impromptu act. A subway staff told the news portal that such behaviours were not encouraged because of safety concerns.
