Video captures moment Chinese bus driver is killed after flying tyre from truck hits him

A bus driver was killed instantly in eastern China last week when a large tyre smashed through his vehicle’s windscreen.

Six passengers were also injured in the accident that occurred in Zhejiang province last Friday afternoon, Suzhou Television reported.

Footage captured by a camera fitted on the bus showed a tyre rolling off a truck in front and bouncing off another car before smashing into the windscreen of the bus.

Passenger Chen Enfen, who sat closest to the driver, Bi Huaibin, on the bus, said Bi lost consciousness at the wheel after he was hit by the tyre.

The bus did not stop until it collided with the truck, Chen said.
