A number of young girls in southern China, most who were wearing short skirts, have been attacked by a man who threw a corrosive liquid at them, according to media reports.
At least three young girls have been victims of assaults in Fuzhou in Fujian province in recent weeks, the Strait News reported.
One of the victims, whose full name was not given, was attacked last Wednesday when she was in a shopping mall with five other girls.
She felt pain and a burning sensation on her right leg after she was splashed with an unknown liquid by a man who appeared to be in his 20s, the report said.
The man fled while she went to look for the security guard.
