Scantily-clad promotional event in Beijing halted after complaints it ‘corrupted public morals’
Topless male dancers took part in the event in a district of the capital

A dozen half naked young men taking part in a promotional event in a public square in Beijing were asked to leave after a resident complained they were “corrupting public morals”, a newspaper reported.
The models, wearing masks, white skirts; white, tight leggings and white leather shoes and no tops, either posed or danced in front of passers-by at the square in the Wangjing district on Friday afternoon, the Legal Evening News reported.
The article did not say what product the men were promoting, but it appeared to be a smartphone app from the adverts the models had pinned to their waists.
One grey-haired man started reprimanding the models when he passed by, saying they were “corrupting public morals”.
Staff of the property management company came and asked the models to leave.
