Love is in the air: Chinese couple fly to wedding by helicopter

A couple in Shanghai had a helicopter land in the middle of a street in Shanghai to fly them to their wedding, disrupting traffic for about an hour, mainland media reported.

Internet users in the city said the landing caused a traffic jam near Nanyuan Road on Sunday as security guards sealed off part of the road.

The authorities had agreed to the flight and granted permits, an official working for the wedding planning company told Shanghai TV.

The couple, who were not named, were seen smiling as they boarded the helicopter to fly them away.
