Chinese woman assaulted on bus for talking too loudly on phone

A woman riding a bus in the central Chinese city of Xian was punched and had her hair pulled out by a male passenger and another woman for talking too loudly on her mobile phone, a local radio station reported.

The 55-year-old victim, surnamed Yang, told Shaanxi Radio she taking answering a call when the man sitting behind her suddenly punched the back of her neck.

“You are speaking too loudly”, he protested.

Security footage from the bus showed the two then engaged in a fierce fight, the report said.
