A driver for a Chinese food delivery app was caught on camera recently apparently helping to prepare the food he had been sent to collect, local media reported.

The footage, which was widely shared online, shows a young man dressed in a motorcycle helmet and company uniform cooking food in a wok in a commercial kitchen, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Monday.

All that is known about the stand-in chef is that he works for the delivery app Meituan. The report was unable to identify him by name or say where the 10-second film was shot.

It quoted a Meituan representative as saying that the company would investigate the incident as it did not allow its delivery drivers to enter kitchens where food was being prepared.

Most internet users saw the lighter side of the incident.
