Chinese driver repeatedly rams Audi that blocked parking exit

Other motorist deliberately left her vehicle blocking the exit for several hours as she objected to paying newly introduced small parking fee, newspaper reports

A short video of a motorist ramming his car into another vehicle five times because it was blocking a car park exit in eastern China has gone viral on social media, according to a newspaper report.

The incident happened at the car park of an expensive residential complex in Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, City Express newspaper reported on Monday.

The driver smashes his car into the back of an Audi which was blocking his way, the short video footage shows.

Witnesses told the newspaper the car had been blocking the exit since about 1pm on Sunday, meaning several cars were unable to get out.

The busy car park has recently introduced parking fees and the Audi belonged to a woman restaurant owner who regularly used the parking lot.

She left it blocking the exit because she refused to pay the 10 yuan (US$1.50) parking fee, a chef working at her restaurant was quoted as saying.

“At about 7 or 8pm, our boss received a call asking her to move the car and she went to the car park,” the chef said.

“She then saw the man driving into her Audi and lots of people taking photos and videos.

“Someone called the police. They arrived immediately and took them both away.”

Police are investigating the man for intentional damage to private property and the Audi owner for “disturbing public order”, the article said.
