Manhunt for 44-year-old after one dead in shooting in southern China

Police in southern China are offering a 100,000 yuan (US$14,500) reward for information leading to the capture of a suspect wanted over a fatal shooting on Tuesday.
An arrest warrant for Yang Richu, 44, was issued by police in Donghua township in Guangdong province in relation to the shooting in which one person died, according to the state-run newspaper Beijing Youth Daily. The man is believed to be from Donghua.
It was unclear what type of gun was used, or whether the culprit is still armed, police told The Beijing News.
Gun violence is rare in China, where firearm access is tightly controlled and private ownership is mostly illegal. The Small Arms Survey estimates that there are 3.58 guns for every 100 civilians in China.
In 2016, three people were killed in a shooting during a property dispute in a southern Chinese village.
