Bound and gagged Chinese women makes dramatic escape from kidnapper
- Victim was able to get out of car when kidnapper stopped at an ATM in Sichuan province
- Suspect arrested several hours later and reportedly confesses to carrying out crime

Police in western China have detained a man on suspicion of kidnapping after a woman made a dramatic escape.
A hospital security guard in Ziyang, a city in Sichuan province, told Jiemian.com he heard a loud cry of “catch that robber” on Tuesday morning and ran to help.
He saw a red car parked near an ATM machine and a woman, whose hands and feet had been bound and her mouth gagged lying on the ground.
She had been found by a local pensioner who had called out for help.
The pair untied her and called the police before taking her to hospital where she was treated for shock.
Police in Yanjiang district said in a statement on Tuesday evening the woman was about to drive out of a car park when a man climbed into the back of the car, overpowered her and tied her up.
